Making a (Victorian) Spectacle of Myself!

Who doesn't enjoy "a find!"
I went to the Ranch Hope Thrift Shop this a.m.
at Cowtown... and found not one, but two pair
of Victorian vintage spectacles!
I am enamored by the tinted pair!
Certainly a "new doll" will be in the making...
in need of tinted eyeglasses!
(even if they're not rose-colored... Ha!)

New Header & New Post Say It All!

I  have always enjoyed this primitive crow, sitting on a lilac branch!
He's made with cotton duck cloth and top-stitching...
stuffed, painted, "grunged" and sanded to a soft, worn finish.
I made him back in Vermont... about eight years ago.
The sign points to where I've been spending my spare time!

Forget-Me-Not...

It is a wonderful sentiment... "Forget-me-not!"
It is one of our favorite perennials... in full bloom this week!
It reminds me of a favorite passage...
Isaiah 49:15  “Can a woman forget her nursing child
and have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you." (NASB)

Thank You Stampington & Company!

I just heard from the assistant editor of Art Doll Quarterly...
and... (a little drum roll)
The Angel of His Presence will be featured in the August issue!
I couldn't be happier, as he was a labor of love...
and carries special meaning for me.
Thank you for sharing my joy! Daryle
